This page has no design.
I’m not a designer. I’m an engineer who cares about design, and those are different things.
I know a few rules that help keep a page from looking broken. But that’s not the same as knowing how to make something look good. I’m better at spotting what might go wrong than deciding what would look right.
So I kept things simple. I didn’t want to guess at spacing, contrast, or what belongs where. I could add another font, a color, a shadow, or rounded corners, but I wouldn’t know if they made the page better. The text is the part I feel confident about, so I left that at the center.
I don’t think you need to be equally good at design and code. Most people have a stronger side, no matter what their title says. I know which one is mine.
This probably looks like minimalism, but that wasn’t really the idea. Minimalism is about knowing what to leave out. I mostly left things out because I wasn’t sure what to add.
That’s enough for this page. It works, it loads quickly, and it lets me say what I came here to say.
